When you join, you will have a direct connection to our farm and you will eat some of the freshest, most nutritious vegetables and herbs available. What is a CSA?

“CSA” stands for “community supported agriculture” though this definition is quite broad. There are many ways to support community agriculture i.e. shopping at farmer’s markets, local farm stands or directly with nearby farmers. But because we all lead busy lives and have become accustomed to our food conveniently being organized and delivered to us, a “CSA” has become synonymous with a once-a-week box full of local produce that is in season and prepared by your local trusted farmer. CSA's have become a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farmer.

How big is an Earthlands Farm vegetable box?

 

A weekly box of Earthlands vegetables can feed a family of 3-5, depending on how much you cook at home and how vegetable centric your diet is. The kinds of vegetables you receive depends on the season. Here’s an example of what you might see in a weekly box: 1 bunch carrots, 1 bunch broccoli, 1 bunch kale, 1/2 lb salad mix, 1 green cabbage, 1 lb potatoes, 1 bunch beets, 1/2 pint cherry tomatoes, and 1 bunch green onions. The Earthlands team chooses what goes into the boxes from a wide variety of produce grown on the farm. You will get your favorite vegetables as well as new things to try. MULTI SEASON BOXES >

• Includes 24 weekly boxes for $960.00 total (or $40.00 per box). Must purchase by June 28th, will complete on December 12th

• This CSA option includes fresh vegetables, herbs and mushrooms 

• This CSA option includes a FREE Farm Tour & Harvesting &  Learning Day on the farm. Harvest your own vegetable box and bring wisdom on sustainable food production into your family’s life and daily conscience.

• This CSA option includes a FREE Gourmet Cooking Class using ingredients from your CSA box during peak season.

RESTAURANT BOXES >

• Restaurant Boxes require an email to earthlandsfarm@gmail.com before ordering. Weekly deliveries are a $300 minimum. 

• We deliver to a number of high end farm to table restaurants and chefs around the Boston area. Our restaurant partners know that local produce from the right farms equals better tasting cuisine for their clientele.

• We deliver directly to our restaurant partners. Delivery schedule can be customized depending on volume. 

• Reach out and let us know about your week to week menu needs or work with us proactively early in the season to plan out a customized  production schedule for your restaurant.

CORPORATE BOXES >

• Corporate CSA's require an email to earthlandsfarm@gmail.com before ordering. Weekly deliveries are a $300 minimum, or $5000 annual package minimum..

• We are highly flexible and can be customized to your company’s specific neeeds and objectives.

• Seasonal packages include: 

  • Brochures for employees about health & wellness through local organic food, nutrient information and recipes

  • Direct delivery to your office building on a convenient day and location 

  • Free farm education and wellness class of your choice for your employees: cooking class, farm education class, herbal medicinals 

  • Free farm tour & Volunteer Day on the Farm for your team: get a chance to escape the office into nature, engage in team building skills, work on the farm, harvest vegetables, and learn practical gardening skills and how the health of our soil and seeds impacts our bodies, the environment and the planet at large

ANGEL BOXES >

• Our Angel Box program is set up to allow anyone at anytime to donate as many anonymous boxes as they'd like to a local family currently experiencing food insecurity.

• Earthlands Farm partners with a range of nonprofits, crisis centers and soup kitchens to not only deliver angel boxes, but to also donate any excess food we produce throughout the year. 

• Any weekly boxes you can't pick up and choose to skip can be donated as an Angel Box at anytime.

Scheduling & Pick Up 

 

Since we are still a growing farm, our pick up location is currently limited to Sunday pick ups from 6-9 in Lexington, MA (On the corner of Mass Avenue and Independence Avenue). Stay tuned as we expand more pick up locations including nearby restaurants we are partnering with to expand our consumer reach.

Cancellation Policy

 

We encourage you to stick with your CSA for the season and have fun integrating the variety of new food into your meals. If you have too much food, we recommend you try out some of our canning, freezing and preserving recipes here, and to also consider sharing your CSA costs with other families, roommates, or work colleagues. If you need to leave us before the season is done, you may request a refund for the value of your remaining share. For any week you want to skip, are on vacation for or cannot show up for pick up, you can donate your box to our Angel Box program to get your box of healthy food straight to a local family experiencing food insecurity.
